To establish a community centered around the use and preservation of historical classic boats, keeping their heritage, passing down the knowledge of how they are used and maintained, and ensuring their continued grace on the local waters of the Great South Bay for generations to come.

- Our community encourages shared experiences both on and off the water, from social afternoon sails to sunset cruises to boat maintenance.
- We are committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning, providing opportunities for individuals of all ages to grasp the fundamentals of seamanship, aiming to pass on this knowledge to future generations.
- We aim to reignite the once thriving spirit of sailing in our waters by engaging in local racing events, fostering connections with other yacht clubs, and spearheading new events like the "Queen of the Bay” race.

- Active as a sailing group since 2020
- ELVIRA re-launched in 2023
- 501(c)(3) was established in early 2024
